Cassandra Bertucci

I was the Option’s Lab Research Administrative Assistant who joined the team at the end of 2021. I am very excited to be in the new role of a Clinical Research Coordinator I position.

have over five years of experience in a clinical research setting in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Most of my projects were primarily dealing with expecting mothers who have severe nausea and vomiting (NVP) and efficacy of certain pharmaceuticals that will decrease NVP.

In early 2021, I was a front-line worker assisting in the fight against COVID-19 in Canada’s first Mass Vaccination Clinic run by the University Health Network. Being part of the leadership team for this clinic was extremely rewarding because I could see on a daily basis how many people we were actually helping.

I am extremely passionate about the role that research and healthcare plays in advancing treatment and prevention of infectious diseases and of course how to increase the quality of life of our patients. I am so happy to be part of this team and look forward to supporting all our clinicians/researchers as best as possible.
