MPOX Case Series
The Mpox case series was created to collect data of patients with Mpox infections in the context of the global outbreak. The data will contribute to a national and international anonymized case series. We will describe the initial clinical presentation of patients with confirmed or strongly clinically suspected Mpox infection at St Michael’s Hospital. Given the relatively large number of patients we have seen in Canada it is imperative that we share our clinical experience globally and rapidly, to assist other clinicians in recognizing this emerging pathogen. Data is collected from patients’ paper charts and/or electronic medical charts (Soarian Clinicals) through chart review. It is then compiled in a database as completely anonymous, de-identified information. From the data collected to date, we have had several successful publications contributing to the global knowledge of Mpox.
