Hi, I am Myo. 👋

I am an epidemiologist with a background in medicine and I have been doing healthcare research for almost a decade. My main goal is to make sure everyone gets fair access to good healthcare. I have done a lot of research in communities that often do not have much (fair) access to healthcare, like migrants, female sex workers, men who have sex with men, and indigenous peoples.

Right now, I work at St. Michael’s Hospital as a Senior Research Associate in the Options Lab. My main focus is on finding better ways to prevent HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. Right now, I am leading some analyses for a study called PRIMP, where we are looking into the most effective methods of HIV prevention. I will also help train new researchers and have other projects in the works to improve healthcare for everyone. Sometimes, I pitch in to review academic papers.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying busy by learning new things. Whether it's coding, crunching numbers, going for bike rides, exploring new places, or anything else that piques my interest, I'm always up for it.
