Congratulations to our very own Jemal Demeke (Research Coordinator II) who has been selected as the winner of this year’s MAP Values in Practice (MVP) award, as part of the first-ever MAP Awards!!

Jemal’s nomination for the MVP category was submitted by Patricia O’Campo and Itunu Adekoya, with supporting letters from Attia Qamar and Christina Salmon.

We also want to acknowledge and congratulate Jemal for being nominated in a second category, the Peer Mentor Award. That nomination was submitted by Galo Ginocchio, with supporting letters from Liane Steiner and Sam Filipenko.

The MAP Awards recognize our outstanding MAP staff, students, and volunteers who have excelled in their roles and demonstrate a passion and commitment to applying MAP’s values in their work. Dr. Darrell tan and the rest of the research team want to congratulate you on this recognition and achievement, and  would like to thank you for your hard work and dedication which has clearly inspired your colleagues here at MAP.

Congratulations to Attia for her excellent on going efforts in this area, who was also nominated for this award.
